JOB TITLE: Process-Mechanical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance in the planning, design, and execution of complex engineering projects. The Sr. Process Engineer will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, overseeing process design, specification development, and construction phases. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical or chemical engineering, preferably within the nuclear industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary focus will be on relief device calculations.
- Must have good client and communication skills to work across various project entities to ensure that all relief device calculations developed for the entire project are aligned with client requirements.
- Provide technical direction to assigned engineers and teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the planning, organization, and coordination of engineering design projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Prepare and review design calculations, specifications, and construction documents, particularly P&ID development.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in design and engineering projects during planning, design, and construction phases.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of engineering designs with relevant codes and standards.
- Conduct construction document reviews and offer technical solutions as necessary.
- Demonstrate expertise in mechanical systems, process design, and related equipment design.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project goals and timelines, ensuring technical solutions are in line with client requirements.
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure project completion within budget and time constraints.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
- 10-15 years of hands-on experience in engineering roles within architectural and engineering (A&E) firms.
- Proven expertise in executing engineering tasks rather than managing teams.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments, with nuclear project experience being strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of relevant Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to mechanical and process engineering.
- Familiarity with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with nuclear engineering projects or other high-complexity industries such as pharmaceuticals or high-tech manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams.
